It's possible you had a bad write to your installation media or for some other reason its contents could not be read correctly. If you're still having problems you should try re-writing the image to your media (and possibly re-download it as well). Please always allow the integrity check to run as it should find any such problems before the installation process commences.

The underlying problem is within the faulty driver for WIFI-
product: RTL8821CE 802.11ac PCIe Wireless Network Adapter
from Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd.

There are lot's of connectivity issues in the beginning and still
later with simple commands like "apt update"
