xubuntu jammy install to uefi box; failure to install

Xubuntu jammy daily install on
- sony vaio svp112a1cw (i5-9400u, 4gb, intel haswell-ULT)

following testcase; full disk install, no internet (testcase rules don't make it easy for me to connect wifi unless 'try' is selected)

UEFI box; but expecting same error as prior BIOS box
error occurred & looks same - will be marked duplicate.
