2021-10-11 23:51:29 Benji bug added bug
2021-10-12 22:34:55 Benji description Hi all, just installed a fresh Ubuntu instance. During installations I set a password for the user starting with # ('#"). After finishing the installation I tried to login. No login possible. After the second installation (to make sure that there was no typo during setting the password), the login was still not possible. After the third installation, using a password not starting with # ('#"), the login was successful. After successful login, I changed to password to a password starting with # ('#"), rebooted the system and the login was successful. Meaning there seems to be a bug, when a password starting with # ('#") is set during the installation process. Sry, I had no time to have a look into the sourcecode, might be some "escaping issue".... Ubuntu version used: ubuntu-20.04.3-desktop-amd64.iso Description: Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS Release: 20.04 Pleas let me know if I can help fixing this issue. Thanks in advance & Greets Benji Hi all, just installed a fresh Ubuntu instance. During installations I set a password for the user starting with # ('#').
