Bug Description

I was installing Ubuntu 20.10 on a legacy BIOS computer. The installer reported a fatal error and exited out. I was installing Ubuntu into a logical partition. I also selected for grub to the partition itself. I wanted to use my Focal partition to manager GRUB.

I have tried installing it both online and offline. I have also tried installing without starting the live session and clicking install from the first window popup. In all instances the installer crashes and fails to install.
