Bug Description
I am trying to install kubuntu 20.04 from flash drive to my disk. I have tried twice and it crashes toward the end of the install. It gets to about 90%+ and says, "installing files", then crashes.

Tried it for a third time and took notes this time.
1. Choose option Normal / Download Updates / Install 3rd Party SW. installing / detecting HW and configuring / Installing nvidia-440 / Removing files / Running dpkg THEN about 90% into this step, Installing System and Downloading. Then crash.
2. Use guided install entire disk with LVM encryption.
3. Filled in the "Who Are You?" page.
4. Watched it go through the Copying Files from 0-100%
5. Final step of retriving files / unpacking-
I tried it a fourth time and only thing I did different was I did NOT use the Install 3rd Party SW option. The install completed. But upon rebooting I was able to type the encryption password, but system would not boot after that.
Hope this helps.
