crashes when trying to install with ZFS option on HPE Proliant Microserver Gen+ with 3 ssd's

ubuntu desktop 20.04 ISO image on USB crashes when trying to install with ZFS experimental option. I am trying to install on HPE Proliant Microserver Gen10+, 16GB RAM, 3 SSD's 500GB each.
