ubiquity Install stops with i/o error

Bug Description
Install quits with an i/o error right after the partition section. The drive '/' is formatted ext4 correctly but errors when it starts to copy files. This has happened on my desktop and laptop with two different usb drives from different brands.

The installation media is corrupted

The system performs an integrity check on boot of the ISO. Did you see any error message when you booted the ISO?
