I checked the integrity of my iso file and it was ok, cannot complete install error no 5 input output error

How did you check the integrity of your ISO file? From the installer boot menu? If so, are you saying that no errors were reported?
Did you subsequently install Ubuntu successfully from the same media or did you create another?
