error: failed to register the EFI boot entry: Function not implemented.

Which looks like a firmware problem, could you give details on what device you are trying to install on? (laptop? what model/brand/revision?)

Failure to install was on a Dell Optiplex 9020 Desktop PC. Previously
used the same source on a Dell Inspiron 15 Laptop and that went OK.
