Bug Description

Installer crashes on a new installation against new AMD hardware. Live Distro boots fine. Ran installer from live distro.

Also happens while installing Xubuntu on Intel hardware. Installation gets cancelled every time with ubiquity crash. But by the time of the crash, installer already makes changes to HDD (leaving the system with grub_rescue).
