Failed install of Ubuntu Mate 18.04 for mini laptop GPD Pocket

The installer failed and reported problem when installing to disc.
Affected system is a GPD Pocket with Ubuntu 16.04 installed.

I just checked the USB Installer (Created using the "Create Startup Disk") and for some reason did the following files not match the md5sums specified in the md5sum.txt file:

It's possible you had a bad write to your installation media or for some other reason its contents could not be read correctly.

I'm closing this report as this wasn't a bug with the Ubuntu installer.
