Bug Description
Booting from Xubuntu iso in grub, or booting from iso on usb it's very slow to reach desktop.
Also seeing the same behaviour with the Ubuntu iso.
Makes no difference if I boot on hardware or with a vm.
Takes somewhere around 38 seconds to reach the Try/Install dialogue.
Noted that console when showing gave me 'A start job is running for Ubuntu live cd installer' which eventually times out around 90s or so.
systemd-analyze blame once desktop had been reached gave these 2 long times

Thanks for your report.
Could you please try again. fontconfig 2.12.6-0ubuntu2 landed recently and should improve the boot time (see bug 1749546 for reference)
Thanks.
