installation ubuntu alongside windows 10 fails

Bug Description
I have used the automatic bug info upload when prompted by the installer. Said something about a faulty CD/DVD device. However, I've tried installing ubuntu from a USB stick, not a CD/DVD. I don't know how to find the file with attached info on the issues encountered by the installer.
