Bug Description
Was installing from a live CD or DVD (it is still in use in the computer & i do not remember which it is as it was burnt several years ago).
The disc was verified when it was burnt. The installer crashed but the live environment remained stable.
The installer crashed, seemingly, about half way into the install and was doing a fuul disc, clean install with internet access. That is all I know.
The computer is a iate 2006 Mac Mini 1,1 A1176 1.83 Core 2 Duo with a 120GB hard drive and 2GB of memory.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We noticed that you were installing the LTS version of Ubuntu using an older version of the installation media. The latest point release of 14.04 is 14.04.5. Please try installing from that version of the installation media and see if that resolves your issue. Thanks in advance!
