Kubuntu slideshow is broken

Bug Description

If you grab a daily Kubuntu 16.10 image from: http://iso.qa.ubuntu.com/qatracker/milestones/360/builds

You will notice the slideshow is broken but ubiquity still installs fine.

The issue is that PyQt4 has dropped Webkit so the html files can't be rendered. A port to PyQt5 should fix the issue.

UPDATE: blaze on LP has been working on the porting and the work is here: https://code.launchpad.net/~blaze/+junk/ubiquity

Hi Aaron,

I got your message on Segfault about this.

The slideshow renders properly for us, but our package base is 16.04 (xenial). That's probably why it's still working here.

Also, we'll be using 16.04 until 2018.

I'll stay connected to #kubuntu-devel this week anyway to see if we can help. Other than a full port to PyQt5, is it possible to mix PyQt4 with gobject introspection? i.e. to continue with PyQt4 and Webkit functionality via gir1.2-webkit-3.0?

Just a follow up after our IRC conversation, in case other people read this report. The gir idea isn't good :)
