The drop down button of the installation process drops down to CLI but does not show anything going on in CLI

Bug Description
Description: Ubuntu Xenial Xerus (development branch)
Release: 16.04
While installing the system, it shows progress in the progress bar but when I click on the drop down button of the installation process, it drops down but does not show anything going on in the CLI. But luckily the installation completes at the end.
