Bug Description
I inserted the cd and loaded well. The internet worked without issues. I clicked on install.
(this pc had :
/dev/sda1= blank 10 gb ext3 partitition for /
/dev/sda/5= swap (deactivated because the installer (i think) tries to format the swap the installer is using.
/dev/sda4= 20 Gb Data ext3 partition.
Next-next... and i clicked on install. The bar went to 15%(Detecting file systems) and i couldnt move the mouse.
I waited THREE HOURS!! and then, the Installing... windows appeared. Another hour and gutsy was installed. No more problemes.
I executed ubiquity with sudo ubiquity --no-migration-
Maybe this is related to an absence of the /dev/sda1 NTFS windows partiton.

artir,
Are you saying that the installer did not hang when using --no-migration- assistant? Can you please run the installer again and attach /var/log/syslog, following these instructions: https:/ /wiki.ubuntu. com/DebuggingUb iquity/ AttachingLogs
Thanks!
