On wily/virtualbox 64bit, iso version kubuntu i386 from http://cdimages.ubuntu.com/kubuntu/daily-live/current/xenial-desktop-i386.iso
md5sum: 97966a0ef409f6cfe797294b889d4ad8

French language selected on the beginning wizard.
Crash without any special options or configuration on:
"Configuration du clavier... 16%"
In english should by: "Keyboard configuration... 16%"

(Not easy to write in qwerty, sorry)

There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. If you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running only once:
