Bug Description

Ubuntu MATE 16.04 daily and Ubuntu 16.04 daily from 24th February 2016 Ubiquity are no longer displaying the connectivity checks or drive space check on the "Preparing to install Ubuntu" screen.

The only things displayed are the "Download update while installing" and "Installl the third-party software" options.

Changed in ubiquity (Ubuntu):
status: New → Confirmed
importance: Undecided → High

This is on purpose. The disk space check will show a different screen altogether when there is insufficient disk space (it will show a screen titled "Sorry" with just disk space information), and when there is no network, the "Download updates" checkbox should be insensitive and the caption under it will be different.

I'm rather disappointed actually that this feature is gone, I found it rather useful to know all this information before continuing... It also added a bit of colour to the page and I think made the user feel more connected with the installer.
