Tried several times to inatall, but crashes.

Thanks for your e-mail response. I overcame the problem that I had in installing Ubuntu. I was installing using a Re-writable DVD burnt with ISO. I think I overcame the problem by erasing the re-writable DVD at a very slow speed and writing at low speed (x2.5). Also I wiped the hard drive before installing. Thanks Gamini Perera
