installation of wily daily iso failed

Installing today's ISO image of amd64 Wily Desktop, Ubiquity detected an error and reported it could be due to a corrupted image, however, I did sanity check this twice and got the same issue after two install attempts, so I am sure the image was OK

It looks like unity-settings crashed:

What kind of error message did you receive? I would have expected an apport dialog offering to report the unity-settings crash.
