Ubiquity hangs at partitioning for autoresize with disk that has partitions aligned in a way that may cause bad performance

Bug Description
To reproduce have a a disk install the March 23 dialy amd 64 iso for ubuntu onto a seagate expansio disk that is not aligned with the block size that has free sapce where an old partiotn I forced to be ther was. Select go back from the menu and then fall back to manual partioning of the disk and try another alignment. The installer will try to install the changing but a laoding cursor will take over ubiquity and has been going for several hours and nothing show on /var/log/syslog.
