Vivid installer crashes when trying to install on custom partition map

Bug Description
Launched the desktop installer from USB and specified customer partition table for hard drive. Files appeard to start copying but installer crashed shortly after copying commenced (approx. 30secs)

Please retry your installation with new media and if it still fails I'd recommend testing your memory.
