Bug Description

Intallation fails on Oracle VM VirtualBox after it attemtps to download languag packs... not enough detail to diagnose what is causing the failure.

dpkg isn't really something we'd expect to crash during installation.

Could you please run "Check disk for defects" with the image you are running? Also consider running memtest on your system.
