the installer crashed, when I arrive to preparing disk space. when I choos manually (radio button) and next !!!

I get this same error, using Linux Mint install. I'll attach my files too, don't know if it'll help.

It looks like this is a problem with the KDE version. http://linuxmint.com/cassandra-kde.html says:

There is a known bug in this release: In the installer, the partitioner will ask you how you want to partition your drive. if you choose "Manual" the installer will crash. This is a bug in the KDE frontend of the Ubiquity installer. You can either use the "Guided" option or if you need to manually partition, use the Gnome frontend instead:

To solve this problem, open a terminal or a konsole and type:

        sudo apt-get install ubiquity-frontend-gtk
        sudo apt-get remove ubiquity-frontend-kde
        sudo ubiquity
