Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubiquity
I was installing Ubuntu 7.04 on my HP nx7300 notebook. I wanted to set up partitions - the first, 5GB primary partition already contains FreeDos. I plan on installing Vista later, so I tried to make a 20GB partition (without formatting it), so I selected "Don't use" as a filesystem (I wanted to place the ubuntu partitions after that). When I clicked OK, the installer crashed - apparently it has problems with the don_use file system.
I don't have any file in /var/log/installer, but I'll post the traceback in a followup (can't cut'n'paste it now).

I confirmed this bug still exists in the Gutsy installer. After selecting the "dont_use" option, I get the "waiting" icon, and the operation never completes. Assigning to the ubuntu-installer team, for a fix in the Hardy installer.
