Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubiquity
I'm giving a spin to gutsy tribe 4 just to help to help with the bug reports, I hope it could be of some help to you.
In a hp 6561b laptop the live-cd boots without problem and the installation can be started, this is a huge improvement since tribe 2 in this hardware, you're doing a terrific job.
Once I get to the migrate documents and settings assistant the installer freezes and the bug report tool reports this crash.
Due to this problem the installation is impossible.
I have a fedora install running in this laptop and no windows at all.
I would like to help you out with that so if you show me a work-around or a fix I will try it out. If you need more information just ask for it.
Keep the great job.
Best regards.

Title: ubiquity crashed with IOError in reply()

Launching ubiquity on the terminal with the command: assistant assistant parameter does.
ubiquity --no-migration-
will work as a workaround.
Maybe when the assitant crashes ubiquity should warn the user and give the chance to continue without its help, just as the --no-migration-
