When you try to install Ubunto from .iso image it will fail to 'Detect and mount CD-ROM' no matter what you try to do from console to point it to existing .iso image. Installation from .iso image is now impossible!
The following fix helps to find .iso images that are bound to loop devices with 'losetup'. This makes possible to continue installation process with help of two additional commands from console.
Would be good to automatically scan for .iso images, but this is the reason for a different topic. |
