Ubiquity crashed after creating encrypted partition (manually)

Bug Description

Created boot partition (logical) on /dev/sda5
Created encrypted container on /dev/sda6

Created a new partition table on /dev/mapper/sda6_crypt
Created /dev/mapper/sda6_crypt1, format to ext4, mount as /
Created /dev/mapper/sda6_crypt2, use as swap.

Clicked next. Window for selecting time zone appears briefly before installer crashes.

Ubiquity on 14.04 USB drive created using dd to copy the iso file to disk.
