the input box for keyboard layout selection is not working

I have tried to select the keyboard layout by typing in the input box and it doesn't detect the distribution, nothing happens I had to select it by clicking on the distribution.

Do you mean that the key strokes appearing in the "Type here to test your keyboard" section are not the ones you expected to see or something else? Thanks in advance.

I am really sorry, this bug was a mistake, I've ran a lot of tests and it works fine.
