Installer crashes clicking the format checkbox

Bug Description

I am trying to install Linux Mint 16 Cinnamon 32-bit on an ASUS EeePC 1000HE but the installer always crashes. This happens when I delete an old partition, create a new one and click the format check box. I get a crash in Gtk.py, line 776. See the attached screenshot.

Odd....did you compare the checksum of the iso file? Might be worth downloading a new copy of the iso in case there is corruption

I just checked the md5sum of the ISO that I downloaded and it is the same as on the download page. When I installed Mint, I copied the ISO to an USB flash memory with dd and booted from it.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. If you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running only once:
apport-collect 1286486

and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
