Bug Description
I tried to make a new install of Kubuntu 14.04 Alpha 1. However I failed at setting up the partitions the way I want with encryption.
I see that LVM is a good option but on a notebook with just 1 SDD on it you want to omit swap, you want to have custom size of /boot and put the rest into an encrypted root.
Upon selection manual partitioning I first created a /boot partition with ext4 and 500MB space.
After that I wanted to create the rest as encrypted root partition. However there's no way to actually configure then the encrypted partition as this was the case in the alternate installer on earlier version. I made according screenshots from a test run in VirtualBox:
On Screenshot 1 you just define the size and the type
On Screenshot 2 you get a first error message
On Screenshot 3 you get a second error message
Afterwards there's no way to put that partition to any use.
