Bug Description

When I install the system and I chose Deutsch(German) as language for the installation, I’m not able to chose the Switzerland-Switzerland keyboard layout. I can select it, but the keyboard still remains in another (German) layout. When I use “Detect Keyboard Layout” I have the option for a Layout named “Schweiz” and it works during the installation, but the setting will get lost after the setup.
When I install the system in English, I’m able to chose the Switzerland-Switzerland as the keyboard layout and it works just fine but I have problems to change the Language later in the system because the Language Support is only available for “Deutsch(Deutschland)” and not for “Deusch(Schweiz)”.
The problem exists in 13.04 and 13.10 but not in 12.04.3.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode.

To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1231372/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package.

Posting the method of installation that you used will allow us to report this against the correct package, confirm it and peg it as a regression.

Thanks,

The bug happens in the standard graphical installer with the standard installation CD 32-bit . It occurs in both ways “Try Ubuntu” and “Install Ubuntu”.
