I can confirm this. Not in the russian slide, but in the German slide also in Ubuntu 13.04. I see it in 2 slides, but i can remember where exactly. Thank you for reporting.

I shortened the German translations for now. They still need more characters than the English ones but maybe it is short enough. The quality isn't necessarily improved by this kind of fix but it is acceptable.

Still, a fix from the developer side would be great. But maybe the strings for Saucy change anyway.

Actually, I'd consider this one a serious bug, but it's tricky to get right :) For Saucy, I'd like to find a way to at least get overlay scrollbars instead of the old, big scrollbars, which in our case means having the scrollbar for the entire document instead of for just the block with text in it. No scrollbars ever would be ideal, but that's going to take a serious redesign.

This is a duplicate of bug #986283, so I'm marking it as such. Feel free to propose any fixes, or report any further details, over there.

Wait, sorry, it totally isn't a duplicate of that bug! I could have sworn we already had a scrollbars bug, but actually that's the only one that popped up when I did a search, so, uh, carry on. Don't mind me.

Hello Hendrik, this was my first posting before the Ubuntu 12.04 LTS release mentioning the bug:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity-slideshow-ubuntu/+bug/975925

Hendrik it worked in Ubuntu 12.10 with no problem (thank you!), but here in Ubuntu 13.04 the same problem again, and I've seen you shortened the translation today, but yeah you see the problem it has been already shortened and now the bug is again here and affecting other languages, which I also mentioned in the original bug and I found this bug here and linked my bugs to it.

Hello Dylan we already had this discussion too:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity-slideshow-ubuntu/+bug/1071712

I'll write you a mail because we can't discuss everything in this bug.

This is the online ubiquity-slideshow from Dylan:

Hendrik you fixed the bug in the internet slide (German version). Thank you!

For the photo slide I have open a new bug, please see bug #1220371.

Whilest translations can push the content to become "too tall", this is also a bug in ubiquity, as "overlay scrollbars" should have been used giving another 5-10px of space.
