Bug Description

Hi :)
I installed ubiquity on a normal hard-drive install of Ubuntu 12.04. It didn't work so i copied the desktop icon from a LiveCd onto the desktop of the 12.04 installed on my hard-drive. That got further but crashed somewhere after the partitioning. I don't want to reformat the partition because i wanted to keep the /home intact.

It's possible i didn't install everything ubiquity needs although it did get all it's dependancies.
Regards from
Tom :)

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. If you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running only once:

Hi :)
This bug-report expired a long time ago and i am ok with with that. I've
not had problems with more recent releases and i'm currently quite enjoying
the 18.04 release with default gnome but added Unity because i enjoy having
the choice. I'm almost always in gnome though :))

many thanks and regards from
Tom :)
