"install ubuntu alongside" partition GUI missing OS labels

Bug Description
Today I was installing Ubuntu 12.10 alongside Windows 7 on a new Lenovo Thinkpad X230. The simple partition interface prompted me to select partition sizes, but it did not indicate which partition Ubuntu would be installed on. In looking at the documentation, it appears that the interface should show the Ubuntu name & logo on the target partition, but this didn't happen.
The result of this was that I couldn't tell whether the large or small partition would receive ubuntu. I installed Ubuntu on the wrong partition, requiring me to cancel the installation and start over with a manual partition table.
What I expect to see:
- A window titled "Install Ubuntu Alongside Windows 7"
- A portion of the partition table graphically represented as having Windows 7
- A portion of the partition table graphicall represented as having Ubuntu
as in this screenshot from the instructions:

What I see:
- A window titled "Install Ubuntu Alongside Them"
- The two portions of the partition table without any indication of the OS
as in the attached photo.
I suppose it tried to identify the OS and failed, and as a result, didn't label either of the partitions.
