Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubiquity
When I installed ubuntu 7.04 on a laptop, I made /boot a seperate partition, to get arround a possible cylinder 1024 bug.
The install finished fine, but grub wasn't configured correctly, the entries for Ubuntu referenced my / partition, using /boot/... instead of referencing my boot partition, using the path /vmlinuz...
This can be worked arround by tweeking grub on first boot and then fixing /boot/grub/menu.lst but only for an experienced user.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.
