installer crash during disk partion

Binary package hint: ubiquity

I have attempted to install it twice it crashed both times now i cannot get back into my windows either help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! widows is on a seperate drive

dear sir or madam i recieved this error message when i attempted to install the dvd on my computer as a newbie to linux i decided to try your product i bought the dvd from amazon, i am used to windows and have never used linux in the past so i have no idea what to do here if you could email and tell me what and where it is that you will need i will gladly give it to you. if this helps any i have the 6.06lts version dvd.

Can you talk about your machine specifications?
Did you install from a Live CD ? That mean if you be able to run Ubuntu from you Dvd and click the install program in the desktop.

Can you post here the follow files.

/var/log/installer/syslog
/var/log/syslog
/var/log/partman

You can find this files from the menu go to

Places->Local Machine this open nautilus where do you are going to see chapter /var/ click there then chapter /log/ in there are the files
