Bug Description

Release of Ubuntu:13.04
Package Version:
Expected Results: passphrase can contain special characters
Actual Results: passphrase with special characters is rejected

this happens because the security key (passphrase) is requested before the keyboard layout setting, so when it is changed (english language and italian keyboard), the bug appear.

Testcase:
Run the Ubuntu installer and choose to install in a lvm
For passphrase of lvm encryption choose one containing special characters (+èùàò-.,)
Complete installation, reboot the system and verify that the passphrase will be rejected.
If instead it contain only normal characters and numbers it is accepted.
Thanks
Fabio

FWIW in trying to reproduce this I encountered bug #1128359. So, so far I can't confirm this bug; I guess I'll need to test with a non-UEFI VM...

Is probably the same root, the keymap selection is due after the insertion of the passphrase in the partitioner
