2013-04-30 08:17:43 Aaron Whitehouse description Ubiquity installer in 12.10 offers the ability to install Ubuntu in an encrypted LVM. However, the options are only available when replacing an existing operating system. If I wish to install Ubuntu alongside another OS, the options become grayed out (see screenshot). If I select "Something else," the manual partition tool does not provide a way to install Ubuntu in an encrypted LVM. Ubiquity installer in 12.10 and 13.04 offers the ability to install Ubuntu with Full Disk Encryption, with checkboxes for encryption and LVM. However, the options are only available when replacing an existing operating system. If I wish to install Ubuntu alongside another OS, the options become greyed out (see screenshot).
