Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubiquity
During startup the correct resolution (1024x768) was not detected properly, which might be the case in many situations. I've got 800x600. Running installer leads then to an UI which is impossible to use since the controls at the bottom of the window are out of screen and it is not possible to position the window to make them visible (even autohiding of panels does not help).
I think, that the UI of such tools should be designed to handle well even the smaller resolution, 640x480.
I faced this problem on DELL Latitude C600 with the DesktopCD built on 20070415.

Thanks for your report. This is also bug 38442. You can work around it by using Alt+drag to move the window around (yes, I realise this is far from ideal).
