I was installing Ubuntu and the installation crashed.

It is possible that hardware detection failed on your computer and segfaulted.

Do you think you can submit a hardware profile via https://friendly.ubuntu.com/participate/ and post a link here?

Or is there something unusual about the hardware you are installing on to?

This issue has sat with a status of 'Incomplete' for more than 10 years now without any response to comment #3 so it is being closed as 'Invalid'.

Please feel free to re-open this bug report if this is still an issue when using a currently supported release of Ubuntu and tell us in which release you still experience this issue.
