Installer crash in VirtualBox for latest Ubuntu 12.10 daily

The installer crashed while installing the latest daily build of Ubuntu in VirtualBox on my new MacBook Air.

Same for me, had to use alpha2 and upgrade.

Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.

Yep, it's definitely a regression. Installing Alpha 2 worked for me.
