Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubiquity-slideshow-ubuntu

"OpenOffice.org is fully compatible with Microsoft Office and has everything you need to create professional documents, spreadsheets and presentations. OpenOffice.org is easy to use, packed with the features you need and completely free."

As I heard there will be no Open Office in 11.04??
Some sources say:

Yes, OpenOffice.org is replaced with the fork LibreOffice, so this is a bug in ubiquity-slideshow-ubuntu.

Looking at the source files from bazaar, for the most part it would seem that a straight swop OpenOffice.org -> LibreOffice is all that is required.

Exceptions to this would be the slideshows/ubuntu/slides/office.html which currently reads
"OpenOffice.org is fully compatible with Microsoft Office and has everything you nee to create professional documents..."

I reckon this ought to be replaced with something along the lines of "LibreOffice is fully compatible with OpenOffice.org and Microsoft Office and has..."

Justification for including OpenOffice.org with MS Office in the compatibility list would be that many users may not have heard the news about the OOo fork and could cause confusion.

Perhaps it ought to read
"LibreOffice is the new office suite in Ubuntu, building on the OpenOffice.org software. LibreOffice is fully compatible with OpenOffice.org and Microsoft Office and has everything you need..."

There are similar issues with [kxl]ubuntu.

Finally the screenshot included shows OpenOffice.org. Does anyone know where this particular template can be found? It does not appear in the LibreOffice templates?

OK, great but I am a translator. I shouldn't translate Open Office as LibreOffice just like that espacialy if the are some OO strings on the slides and as i can remember there are. People responsible for Ubiquite should chanage what there is to change espacially that I have no information from an official source that tells me that there will be Libre office in 11.04. All information I have are from a newsletter. For me as a translator it is a bug so I reported it.

According to reply #1 and also to the Natty install I have running in testdrive, LibreOffice is in for sure all ready.
GTriderXC is correct, the text "OpenOffice.org" appears twice in the slide

slideshows/ubuntu/slides/screenshots/office.jpeg.

Presumably, somewhere there exists the original Impress file that was used to produce office.jpeg, I'm unable to locate it in the package.

LibreOffice is already the default office suite on Natty.

I'm assigning this bug to me and I'll change all ocurrences of "OpenOffice.org" to "LibreOffice".

Hi Marco, if you want to provide me with the original .odp file used to create the OpenOffice screenshots, I'll be happy to produce replacements with LibreOffice, which I can attach.

Actually, I don't know where to find it. I've take another screenshot with the LibreOffice user guide opened.
