Slow when loading images

It stalls for 5-10sec while selecting new image (loading image templates) stalls
when changing stamp category 2-3sec etc

$ sudo apt-cache policy tuxpaint

While waiting for 'new' screen to open 5-10 sec i see in my terminal:
libpng warning: Out of place sRGB chunk

It seems that the issue has been knonw in tuxpaint-dev list from August 2014
https://sourceforge.net/p/tuxpaint/mailman/message/32682089/

so either code has been changed a lot last two years or there is a later version fixing that.
