Hi Philippe,

I'd love to test it, but I'm not familiar with Debian/Ubuntu package building. Can you instruct me how to build a binary package from your files?

Thank you for reporting this to Ubuntu. Does this still happen with the package in karmic-updates or a newer release of Ubuntu?

I'm sorry, I can't reproduce this. Could you please post the output of:
echo $JAVA_HOME

That helped a lot, thanks for your help! Finally I can use Tuxguitar again!

Not being a Java programmer myself I totally forgot about the JAVA_HOME entry in my .bashrc! It still pointed to the Sun JDK that I used some Ubuntu versions ago. The upgrade to Karmic must have replaced it with the OpenJDK. I fixed the JAVA_HOME path, now tuxguitar starts (although it takes eternally to get past the splash screen, which turns grey after some seconds, until the Tuxguitar window appears after 30-40 seconds).

Thanks again and sorry for the inconvenience.
