Using the F2 button on the keyboard does not work but click on the "F2-Rename" button (bottom left) in tuxcmd with the mouse works....

Other options are not important. F2 fail.

I have been using doublecmd as a replacement for tuxcmd for a while now...
After spending some time configuring it to my liking, it is now a viable alternative :)
And the F2 keyboard shortcut works there!! :P

I am pretty sure the problem doesn't lie with tuxcmd itself. I have the impression that in my case, the window manager does not pass the keystroke to tuxcmd.

Which window manager are you all using? I am on KDE.

I don't believe it is the windows manager anymore, but my debugging FU is failing me.
