ttfautohint crashed with SIGABRT in __libc_message()

Compiling fotns with Grunt launchs this error, reproducible via Mozilla's Gaia-icon fonts: https://github.com/fxos-components/fxos-icons

anyway the ttf font is created without error, and the grunt proccess success the task

still crashes with 1.8.2 and 1.8.3

ah had the ttf file downloaded wrong, it doesn't crash anymore, both versions process the file fine.
