Lucid DVD installer fails to remove packages

I've included the syslog to help find what the problem may have been.

More data, this time from the AMD64 install and an OEM install.

I've included the printout of 'apt-cache policy dpkg', since the error occurs towards the end of the install process, as dpkg is removing packages.
