Hi Chris, I'm guessing a bit:

- Your dmesg has some TPM2 entries that make me think you've got a TPM 2 device rather than 1.2
- trousers doesn't do TPM 2, last I heard

Try installing tss2 instead; it claims to support TPM 2.

dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of tpm-tools:
 tpm-tools depends on trousers; however:
  Package trousers is not configured yet.
